DESIGN-BUILD CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER AT CANNON AFB

Customer: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Location: Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis County, NM

RMA served as the prime contractor on the design and construction of a new single-story 21,850 square foot Child Development Center (CDC) to serve 158 children at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, NM. The center provides a healthy and non-institutional environment for children between the ages of six weeks through five years. RMA and Designer of Record AECOM developed a design to achieve the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Silver certification through incorporation of sustainable design and construction practices, including reduced energy consumption, enhanced durability and maintainability, and eco-friendly materials.

RMA and the site team recently received praise from the Base Commander and Corps for maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work site.
