RMA was the prime contractor on this project at the Pearl Harbor Naval Station to demolish, patch, and repair cracked, spalled, and weather-damaged structural floor slab, concrete, and fountain pools in the basement of the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial Shore-side Visitor Center, a historical building and national landmark located in Hawaii’s Pearl Harbor.
Work scope included: demolition of CMU masonry and curbing, concrete curbs, and cracked or spalled concrete; daily debris removal and disposal; dust and noise control; air and water pollution controls; temporary weatherproof enclosures for exterior openings from demolition work; patching and repairing; anti-corrosion protective coating for reinforced steel; repair concrete by pressure injections and sealing; repair and replace parapets and structural floor slabs; repair and replace deteriorated joint sealants; sandblasting of spalled concrete, beams, slab soffit and columns; boring of concrete slabs; and concrete saw-cutting.
