Customer: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Albuquerque District & Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection
Location: El Paso Border Patrol Sector, Texas
RMA performed as the prime contractor to repair breaches and perform major maintenance of the Southern Border Fence in the El Paso Border Patrol Sector. Scope of work included the repair of multiple damage points along 268 miles of border fencing on an as-needed basis for the 12 different types of fence. RMA has worked closely with the Corps and Border Patrol to develop a system of repairing breaches to the fence to ensure an efficient and safe repair of each breach within 24 hours.
This was a highly challenging project with elevated physical safety concerns due to the activities of the drug cartel along the border. RMA implemented a safety plan to ensure the highest protection of personnel and address security issues. The project was completed with zero safety incidents and RMA earned two Safety Achievement Awards from the Corps.
