RMA was prime contractor on this $5.4M project at Folsom Dam located 23 miles outside Sacramento, CA. The project entailed construction of the Corps’ new 6,800 square foot Folsom Dam Resident Engineer Office, a wastewater disposal system, four access roads into the dam, and staging areas used for parking heavy equipment and stockpiling construction materials.
RMA’s work features on this project included:
- Construction of the Folsom Dam Resident Engineer Office facility, parking lot, and utility connections.
- Construction of 2.2 miles of access roads from Folsom Dam down to the Resident Office Facility, loading pads, and stilling basin.
- Clearing, grubbing, demolition, stripping, excavation, embankment, aggregate base course, bituminous course, fencing, gates, storm drain pipes, catch basins, and erosion control seeding.
- Lean-mix loading pad construction, including the construction of concrete wearing slabs, concrete barriers, handrail/barriers, and guardrails.
