RMA served as prime contractor on this multi-year Navy contract to perform semi-annual base-wide groundwater monitoring of 38 wells and abandonment of 102 wells at NASA’s Crows Landing Flight Facility, former Naval Auxiliary Landing Field (NALF).
Semi-annual base-wide groundwater sampling was conducted to monitor contaminant plume boundaries and to document the concentration of contaminants of concern in groundwater. RMA collected ground water samples, analyzed data, prepared reports, and updated laboratory analytical data to the state GeoTracker database.
Well abandonment included demolition and removal of casing and well screens, surface completions, traffic posts, bollards, and concrete pads. RMA also performed well monument rehabilitation, ADA compliance, and fire safety upgrades.
