RMA was the prime contractor on the design-build renovation of the Officer’s Club at MCAGCC, Twentynine Palms, CA. The tenant improvement project included new updated bar equipment while recreating the interior finish and ambience of an old-fashioned pub. Scope of work included demolition; installation of new vestibule entrance, including roof overhang; relocation of existing bar area to accommodate new utilities; installation of new ventilation system in main dining room; installation of new cabinets, granite counters and lighting; installation of new high acoustical value ceiling tiles; and application of epoxy coating. To achieve an old-fashioned pub appearance, the interior finish primarily consisted of hardwood on walls and floors.
Work was performed while the facility remained occupied with work features strategically phased to minimize disruption. There were zero complaints received and the project was completed with zero safety incidents. RMA incorporated the design criteria of the installation with LEED and sustainable design criteria to achieve a functional, energy-efficient, and cost effective facility.
