National Award for Excellence in Construction – (2007) RMA Land Construction, Inc. won the Associated Builders and Contractor (ABC) Eagle Award for work on the Post Katrina Mold Remediation and Construction Repairs in Belle Chasse Naval Air Station, New Orleans, LA.
ABC President and CEO, Kirk Pickerel said “This project truly embodies the exceptional craftsmanship and professionalism that define merit shop construction. It is a pleasure for the association to honor this innovative project with our top construction excellence award.”
RMA was judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, safety and cost. As first responders working out of a temporary base camp, RMA tradesmen self-performed 100 percent of construction to rebuild the mold-infested Bachelor Enlisted Quarters, turning over approximately three rooms a day for Navy personnel.

Leland Stanford Appreciation Award – (2005) RMA Land Construction, Inc. completed a very high profile historical renovation project at the Leland Stanford Governor’s Mansion in Sacramento, CA in 2005. This project called for extensive demolition and reconstruction of the building site, exterior grounds, and landscaping, as well as the renovation of a stable on the property, one of California’s oldest historical buildings. The buildings and the landscaping are National Historic Landmarks. RMA received an award of appreciation from Governor Schwarzenegger at a ceremony at the mansion when construction was completed. |
